Learn about PCI-DSS standards and take control now!On July 1, 2010 new requirements established by the five major credit card networks may affect your ability to accept credit cards. Referred to as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), they impose new requirements for merchants, and they may apply to you. If so, you must comply by July 1, 2010, or risk losing the ability to process credit cards. Are you compliant? Where can you go to find out? Visit Sage’s PCI-DSS Resource Center.Several steps are required for compliance. One of them requires using software that has been certified with the Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA-DSS) program. Sage MAS 90 and 200 ERP are in the process of being certified as compliant with PA-DSS. Find out which versions will be compliant. Another step necessary for PCI compliance requires you to utilize a credit card processing service provider that is compliant with PCI-DSS.
