CES in Las Vegas has started and there is new hype about "ultrabooks".

• Lighter than a standard laptop (2.5 to 3.5 pounds)
• Super thin
• 13" screen
• powerful processor
• Long Battery life w/o heavy extended batteries(6-9 hours)
• Full size keyboard (or very close)
• Full Windows / Mac OS functionality
• $900+

Not crippled like netbooks, this is a class of machine for someone that wants thin and light without going to a tablet. Of course the SonyZ line and the MacBook Air were the orginals here, but now everybody (HP, Toshiba, ASUS....) is trying to use this form factor to revive sales. It's another option for users that work on the road or from home and want full PC functionality with a keyboard.
